What guitar does Phoebe Bridgers play?

Phoebe Bridgers is an American singer-songwriter, instrumentalist, record producer and founder of record label, Saddest Factory Records. Well noted for her debut solo album Stranger in the Alps (2017) and her follow-up Punisher (2020), she has also performed and released albums with groups, Boygenius and Better Oblivion Community Center. On stage, she plays a variety of guitars from vintage-style acoustics to B.C. Rich electrics, which she uses to shape her distinctive sound.  Below are some of the guitar Phoebe Bridgers plays:

Electric Guitars

• Danelectro ’56 Baritone
  Her signature instrument. Tuned to B standard and frequently used with a capo, it gives her songs a darker, unconventional edge. Bridgers writes with it plugged directly into an amp—no pedalboard needed—and describes how it makes even folk songs sound unlike folk. 
  

• Silvertone ’60s Hollowbody Archtop (model 658)
  Features a rubber bridge and flatwound strings, creating a warm, deadened tone that’s become a key acoustic element in her recordings.

• B.C. Rich Warlock – Bronze Series
  Phoebe has played a double-humbucker B.C. Rich for some time, including a Bronze Series Warlock. The Bronze Series was an affordable option from B.C. Rich and is still available on the used market. This Warlock features dual humbuckers and a hardtail bridge, offering a solid, straightforward tone.

• B.C. Rich Extreme Warbeast with Floyd Rose
  Her other main B.C. Rich is more aggressive: an Extreme Warbeast equipped with a Floyd Rose tremolo bridge. The Extreme Warbeast stands out with a pointier, symmetrical three-a-side headstock, a departure from the six-in-line style of the Warlock.

• Gibson J-45
  A vintage acoustic once owned by Glen Campbell—Bridgers calls it “her favorite guitar that exists in the entire universe.” 

• Waterloo WL-14 (“murdered-out” Jet Black)
  A custom Collings-made acoustic she calls her prized possession. It’s jet-black with matching tuning pegs and pickguard.

• Silvertone Vintage 658 Archtop
  Sometimes distinguished from her baritone, this guitar surfaces in live sets for its resonant, archtop warmth.
